Villages in Southern Brittany
- La Roche Bernard, stunning panoramic views of the river
- Rochefort-en-Terre in Morbihan is a delightful picturesque medieval village that will enchant you with its distinctive wooden carvings, stone buildings and cobbled streets. Winner of "best blossom villages of France" competition, its beautiful old houses dated 16th and 17th centuries are ornamented with colourful geraniums every summer. It is best to visit by foot wondering around to capture its charming atmosphere. You can also visit the Church, Eglise Notre Dame de la Tronchaye, dated back 12th C and the Château, although mainly destroyed during the French revolution, the 12th century fortress has been restored by a rich American benefactor.
- Piriac-sur-mer, a picturesque small fishing village on the Southern coastline, full of character with narrow streets of fishermen cottages, bustling with old fashioned shops, excellent restaurants and with a weekly summer food market among the best ones on the south coast.
